Spatial Intelligence Label — Japan

Sister Ray is a label that turns reality into data, and data into strategy. Spatial imaging, 3D Gaussian Splatting, drone and motion are resolved into digital twins; the twins, into AI-ready intelligence.

White light reality turns into data. Data into model. Model into strategy.

ΠΟΡΟΣ — POROS (πόρος · A City as a Passage) / 日立 HITACHI
ΠΟΡΟΣ (πόρος, a passage, a means, a resource) — an experimental observation instrument for Hitachi, Ibaraki. Measured terrain runs from the Taga hills at 607 m to the Pacific; over it lie 8,191 streets, the rivers, the Joban line, and the sea itself, derived from where the elevation model could not measure. In 1945 the city was struck three times in six weeks, and the burned and struck extents are read from the official war-damage map of December 1945 and georeferenced. The edge of the dense city is carried from 1960 to 2010. A mine opened in 1905 and closed in 1981; the city kept growing until 1983 and has fallen since. Every layer states whether it was measured, derived, estimated or withheld. Second instrument of DIAPHORA, the series that measures cities, within the SEISMOSCOPE observation instruments. First release; research continuing.

ΤΟΜΗ — TOME (τομή · A City Cut by Time) / 水戸 MITO
ΤΟΜΗ (τομή, a cut, a section) — an experimental observation instrument for Mito, Ibaraki. Measured terrain from the national elevation model carries the rivers, the railway and the burn extent of 2 August 1945; a non-linear time axis runs from the year 700 to now. In 1889 the railway entered the castle's twenty-metre moat, and the hollow dug for defence became the line that severs the town. Structures appear, collapse and return — one keep never does. Every layer states whether it was measured, derived or estimated. First instrument of DIAPHORA, the series that measures cities, within the SEISMOSCOPE observation instruments.

CRITERIA 03 — LETHE (λήθη · Oblivion)
A browser-based generative artwork — CRITERIA 03, LETHE (λήθη, oblivion). A white black hole, rendered as particles, is read in real time as a field of dot-matrix glyphs; drifting scouts measure velocity and luminance while the rising entropy is logged as it turns irreversible. What falls into oblivion is measured before it is lost — and from that oblivion, a light returns. Third of the CRITERIA series, part of the SEISMOSCOPE observation instruments.

DIASTEMA — Spatial Reconstruction of the Haneda Near-Miss
A spatial reconstruction of the near-miss between ANA968 and a government flight-inspection aircraft at Haneda (RJTT). The crossing and the TCAS avoidance are re-read in plan, altitude-profile and 3D; closest approach was 1,250 m horizontally and 30 m vertically. A minimal legibility layer for the separation problem that unmanned traffic management (UTM) must scale. Part of the SEISMOSCOPE series.

ALETHEIA — Live Tracking of Active Sequences
ALETHEIA has been updated to track active earthquake sequences in real time. The ongoing 2026 Kumamoto earthquake is now highlighted continuously, refreshed every minute from JMA and USGS data, with every hypocenter tappable for its exact time, depth, and source. Built in WebGL and GLSL.

CRITERIA — Generative Media Art
A browser-based generative media artwork. The take-off and climb of a single flight is re-read in real time as a live field of dot-matrix glyphs, overlaid with self-declaring flight telemetry. Part of the SEISMOSCOPE series of observation instruments.

Sister Ray is a label led by Motoki Takeuchi, spanning photography, moving image and spatial documentation — extended into AI and digital-twin strategy.

The work moves between document and abstraction without announcing the distance. Based in Japan. Operating across format, scale, and medium. In collaboration with Wildchild Studio Tokyo for 3D VFX production.

Motoki Takeuchi

Motoki Takeuchi studied design at the University of the Arts London, London College of Communication. After returning to Japan, he worked across web, mobile and corporate planning before establishing his own companies. His work now spans creative direction, communications, spatial media and digital documentation. He is also featured as a verified professional on REALSEE and holds a Class 2 national qualification as an unmanned aircraft pilot in Japan.
